Hi, I noticed on another post that the request for the device name (%DEVICENAME%) to be used as part of the Kiosk Title was added.

https://kioskbrowser.userecho.com/topics/36-device-name-in-kiosk-title/

As far as I can see - although I haven't tested this extensively - this wasn't added to the URL or javascript options

Would it be possible to add this variable for use with URL and as a javascript function to retrieve the device name?

This would be really useful for us as the only way I can see of doing it at the moment is creating a manual key/value pair based upon the uniqueID in a backend database. This is liable to lose synchronisation when the tablets are swapped out due to breakages etc and the db is not updated and as we want to use it as an identifier for permissions. Setting the device name is always done before deployment.

Hi there - we have bought 20 licenses to be used on Samsung TAB Actives. During a round of user testing we discovered that you can get out of the app by pressing two buttons at once - the home button and the active apps button. This brings you to a list of open apps - even if there is none open, if you then swipe from the right you can access all the devices features - have you experience this before? can you please help?

I am using Kiosk Browser at my tennis club on a cheap, nameless Chinese tablet (running Android 4.4.2) to access a court booking facility. Trouble is, I often find that the tablet has dropped out of Kiosk Browser and is showing the launcher. I do not know how this is happening or how to find that out.
Any suggestions?

Our setup hosts a webservice directly on the android device so the home url for kioskbrowser is localhost. Still, the webservice needs internet connection and I would like to have the connection reset if KioskBrowser cannot access a certain adress (even if the wifi is still connected). I would propose to let Kioskbrowser check the availability of a changeable adress i.e. the Google DNS instead of checking if the home url is available.

I have whitelist and troubleshoot whitelist options enabled. The blocking of URLs that aren't in the list works fine, but the toast popup doesn't appear to show the blocked addresses. App 2.5.6, Android 5.0.1 on an Insignia NS-P10A6100.

We are trying to get Auth0 working in a whitelist environment, and I've added every google/facebook domain that can be sniffed for the social connections, but they are still blocked. It works fine with whitelist disabled.

The 7.0 Nougat devices that we're working with have a split screen feature that, if successfully triggered by a user, allows them to freely use the phone in the non-Kiosk window.

Is there any way for Kiosk Browser to completely disallow split-screen mode?

The 7.0 Nougat devices that we're working with have a screen capture feature that can be triggered by users in one or two different ways.

Is there any way for Kiosk Browser to completely disable user-initiated screen captures?

We're using a series of NFC stickers to open webpages, is it possible to only open a series of URLs? - i wouldn't want open an NFC sticker from an untrusted source.

What will happen to my locked down tablet when the licence runs out?

Will it just unlock and the App won't continue to run or will the tablet turn into a brick?

We are running the Kiosk App on a number of Google Nexus tablets. The tablets connect to WiFi and are running a web fronted database. We have been finding an issue where the tablets seem to loose the WiFi connection every few minutes (approx. 6-10 minutes) but if we turn off the kiosk app and use the Chrome browser on the tablet it works OK. Can you think of any reason this is happening?
